All-Russian open competition to award scholarships of the President of the Russian Federation

The all-Russian open competition to award scholarships of the President of the Russian Federation for abroad studies to undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students of educational establishments studying under higher education academic programs in the academic year 2020/21

The scholarship includes the expenses of the Scholarship Holder of the President of the Russian Federation for tuition, visa, travelling to the place of studying and back, accommodation, medical insurance, payment for local transportation.

The Competition is organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

The deadline for the Competition and the submission of applications is 18:00 on July 2020, 2020 (Moscow time, GMT+3).

To participate in the contest, each participant submits a tender application including the following documents:
  1. An application letter of the Applicant to participate in the tender signed by the head of the Sending Organization or by a designated substitute. In the latter case, the local act of the Sending Organization confirming the authority to substitute the head shall be attached
  2. A recommendation letter (a reference letter) from the Sending Organization containing a brief description of the Applicant’s scientific or creative activity
  3. A personal evaluation letter – a recommendation of the Applicant from among undergraduate, graduate or postgraduate students who have performed well in scientific activities for scholarships
  4. Information on Academic progress: for undergraduate and graduate students – an extract from the tests and examination records for the entire period of study; for postgraduate students – a certificate of tuition issued on the basis of protocols of examination commissions’ decisions and/or certificates of individual passed candidate exams
  5. Justification of studying abroad with an indication of the program/specialty (topic) of training, the foreign state and the name of the Host Organization (submitted by the Sending Organization)
  6. A recommendation of the Academic Board of the Sending Organization, agreed upon by the federal state body exercising the powers of the founder
  7. A list of scientific publications (annex to the personal evaluation recommendation)
  8. Recommendations of Russian (at least two) and foreign (if any) scientists
  9. A certificate from the Sending Organization’s department of foreign languages on the Applicant’s degree of proficiency in a foreign language
  10. The consent of the Host Organization to admit the Participant for tuition provided the scholarship is granted, with the indication of the expected starting date and the duration of the training provided the Host Organization’s agreement with the conditions and procedure for receiving the scholarship specified in clause 4 of the present announcement, in a foreign language (French / German / English), as well as its translation into Russian (a sample is available on www.ined.ru, section “All-Russian Open Competition for the Scholarships of the President of the Russian Federation for Abroad Studies”)
  11. A statement of estimated expenses (submitted by the Host Organization) for the stay of the Scholarship Holder of the President of the Russian Federation abroad in a foreign language as well as its translation into Russian
  12. Information on the banking details of the Host Organization for the transfer of funds in a foreign language indicating the full name and postal address of the bank of the Host Organization as well as its translation into Russian
  13. 3 cm x 4 cm portrait photos (2 pcs)
  14. A medical certificate of the Applicant’s state of health (standard form No. 082/u) confirming the possibility of studying abroad issued no earlier than two months before the start of the Competition;
  15. The consent signed by the Applicant (Participant) for the processing, storing, and transferring personal data to third parties.
  16. A copy of the Uniform State Register for Legal Entities (USRLE) certificate and the Charter of the Sending Organization (provided only in the digital form via the personal profile page).
